The Moms

Each of our wonderful females is essential in raising the next generation of miniature cattle. Our herd includes both chondro and non-chondro individuals, providing a beautiful diversity in size, color, and temperament that makes our cattle truly unique. While we proudly showcase these mothers, they are just a glimpse of our larger family. All of the chondro-positive mothers are located at the bottom of the page.

Rosa

Rosa is a delightful example of a yellow-colored Highland cow and is registered with the American Highland Cattle Association (AHCA).

Kittie

Kittie stands out as an excellent example of a white Highland cow with a unique horn structure. Both genetics and environment contribute to the development of her horns.

Ruby

Ruby is a charming example of a younger, red Highland cow, known for her sweet and gentle personality.

Ethel

Ethel is a black Highland cow, despite the red tint you might notice. This red tinge is quite common and can be very pronounced in calves. However, her black nose, darker hooves, and horns are indicative of her true black coloration.

Grace

Grace is a beautiful young Highland cow with a lovely dun color. You can tell she’s still young by the length of her horns.

Victoria

Victoria is a striking example of a yellow-brindle Highland cow, a fun and less common color within the Highland cattle community.

Trixie

Trixie is an example of a Highland cross who was dehorned by her previous owner. While we don’t have full details of Trixie’s genetic history, her color pattern suggests she is likely a cross between a Highland and a Mini Hereford.

Ava

Ava is a white Highland cow, shown here with her adorable dun bull calf, who has since been sold.

Fanci

Fanci is a Mini Hereford with a sweet face and lovely fur.

Calico

Calico is a registered Galloway. Please visit our education page for more information on crossing Galloways with Highlands.

Casha

Casha is a white Galloway and a delightful addition to our herd.

Kewpee

Kewpee is a wonderful example of an extremely furry Belted Galloway who seems to have had a love affair with a hay bale just before her photo was taken. She also resembles the cow version of Ziggy Stardust, adding a touch of rock star flair to our herd.

Samantha Jane

Samantha Jane is another lovely example of a white Highland cow, registered with the Heartland Highland Cattle Association.

Jolene

Don’t be misled by her appearance! Although she might look white, Jolene is actually confirmed silver. We think Dolly would be a fan!

Frosti

Frosti is a Hereford-Highland cross, and we absolutely love her color pattern!

Mocha

Mocha is a darker dun cow, a unique mix of 1/4 Dexter and 3/4 Highland.

Queenie

Just like Jolene above, Queenie is a silver Highland. This color determination can be confirmed through genetic testing.

Cali

This curly cutie is Cali, and she is a silver Galloway.

Bonnie Blue is a charming mother with a chondro-positive status and a stunning blue roan color. She’s tremendously unique, and her distinctive qualities shine through, even beyond her eye-catching color and funky horns.

Pearl

Pearl is a lovely white chondro-positive mother. We adore her sweet eyes and gorgeous horns.

Sweet Girl

This sweet girl is also chondro-positive, and we absolutely love her white coat and bangs.
